Our heirloom blankets make a really thoughtful gift.

Behind the Pattern: Vyshyti - “Embroidered” in Ukrainian, was inspired by traditional embroidery, an integral part of Heritage.  We took inspiration from an ancient pattern, but softened, and muted the tones for a more modern aesthetic. Honouring tradition, but making it our own.

Why Icelandic Wool is so special: This eco-friendly fibre is sacred to Icelanders, and quickly became beloved by us too.  That’s why it is the cornerstone of our collection. It is unique from any other wool type.

The Icelandic sheep withstands extreme weather conditions, therefore their wool is lightweight, incredibly warm, and even water-resistant.  The sheep roam free in unspoiled wilderness during the summer and are well-cared for under strong dedication to animal welfare.

Water vapour from geothermal heat is mainly used as an energy source in the production of Icelandic wool yarn. When the wool is washed, the use of chemicals and detergents is kept to an absolute minimum, and the wool is collected, washed, and spun all within a few miles. We work with a fabricator in Iceland that shares our values of high-quality and old-practices.
